MCS – IICRC Certified Company

IICRC Certified companies employ technicians who are certified in many categories of cleaning and restoration. They have undertaken IICRC courses, passed examinations and maintained their skills through a program of professional development. They can be qualified to clean and repair carpets and restore homes, carpets and furnishings following water / sewage damage or floods.

The IICRC Certified company logo is a demonstration that the technician uses, understands and follows generally accepted industry standards and will safely and conscientiously restore the home or business with the most proficient technology and technique.

Certified companies are registered businesses which have pledged to conduct their business honestly observing the IICRC Code of Ethics and which have demonstrated that they carry Workers Compensation and Public Liability Insurance.

What is the IICRC?

The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. Established in 1972, in the USA, to set and promote high standards and ethics within the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry.

It is a certification organisation and technician registry. It creates course outlines and exams leading to certification in categories such as water damage restoration, odour control, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning and rug cleaning. The IICRC approves instructors and schools to teach IICRC – approved courses. People who attend a course and pass the IICRC exam become registered technicians committed to ongoing professional development program and to uphold high IICRC standards.

The IICRC is not a trade association and does not offer membership. Instead it provides a structure for education and maintains a registry of qualified companies and technicians.

Mould accreditation

Moisture Control Services holds mould investigation and remediation accreditation that has been gained from Murdoch University (Western Australia). For all mould jobs we adopt the Australian Mould Guidelines AMG-2005-1.
