MCS will move portable items like chairs, tables, lounge suites and beds. This work is preformed on the understanding that the customer will move small items like toys, books, plants and breakables out of the cleaning area and clear items from furniture that will be moved. We don’t move wall units, anything with breakable items in or on it, electronic equipment, musical instruments or items of excessive weight.

If excessive furniture exists (above normal) additional charges may apply.

Will my carpet shrink?

No.

Do you guarantee your work?

We guarantee customer satisfaction and to clean your carpet to the Australian Standard 3733. In the unlikely situation that you are not happy with our job we will re-attend and rectify the item requested FOC. If this cannot be achieved to your satisfaction we will refund you the value of this work.

Will all stains be removed?

Our technicians are highly trained professionals. They will apply additional cleaning solution and agitate areas where spots are visible. However, some spots may require special stain treatment (extra charge) and if they cannot be removed it means the stain is permanent. We cannot guarantee removing every stain.

Is steam cleaning the best method?

Steam cleaning is a deep clean which delivers high level of customer satisfaction. Dry Cleaning is a surface clean and in our option is not as good as steam cleaning.

Will cleaning remove dust mites?

Dust mites environment requires warm and damp conditions to survive. They are rarely found in dry carpet.

How long does it take for the carpet to dry?

Drying time depends on the fibre type (e.g. Wool substantially absorbs water and takes longer to dry), density and characteristics of the carpet construction, amount of effort and cleaning solution needed to properly clean the area and environmental conditions (humidity, air movement and temperature). Drying can be reduced by increased air circulation in the cleaning area. Air movement like opening windows and doors, turning on fans or air conditioners will all reduce drying time. As a general guide you should allow 3 – 4 hours.

Note: Some companies feature quick drying methods as a benefit to the customer. Most of these methods are designed for regular or interim maintenance in conjunction with regular surface cleaning. The Australian Standard states that periodic or corrective cleaning of carpet is required (frequency stated above) where Steam extraction cleaning is a recognised and effective method.
